Hyundai and Gurnade team up on Veloster concept for SEMA

Dated-October 2016

Hyundai has become addicted to building SEMA machines over the last few years. The automaker has teamed up with a number of aftermarket tuners, energy drink companies, and assorted other enterprises to turn out some solid vehicles. This year one of the companies Hyundai is working with is Gurnade, which develops renderings and graphics for the automotive space.

Their collaborative vehicle of choice is the Veloster, and this one is said to be "race ready."

What did the companies do to achieve that? The engine gets a new intercooler, downpipe, cold-air intake, and tune thanks to 845 Motorsports. A blow-off valve and cat-back exhaust have also been added. The chassis is beefed with a set of coil-overs, larger brakes, new strut and torsion bars, and a set of Rotiform 19-inch three-piece forged wheels mounted on Toyo tires.

The exterior of the Veloster wears a Magenta paint scheme and features a set of custom fender flares. Inside, you'll find racing seats and Takata harnesses. There's a Pierce Motorsports cage as well. Of course, since it's a SEMA car, there's also a "race ready" upgraded audio system.

This one seems to blend plenty of show with an alright amount of go, and that's fine by us.

Hopefully, the lovely rendering from Gurnade (shown) is a great indicator of exactly what the actual car will look like when it's shown in the flesh in Las Vegas November 1 to 4.
