One feature that not even the flagship Aurora offers is a choice between normally aspirated or supercharged powerplants. LSS customers may choose between the 205 horsepower normally aspirated 3800 V6 engine or the 240 horsepower supercharged edition. Both are now equipped with a 4T65-E electronically controlled transaxle which automatically adapts to minor internal changes during the car's full service life to deliver consistently smooth shifts.

The LSS also features a new quarter-turn fuel cap that provides tighter sealing, receptacle slots added to make use of rear seat belts more convenient, and improved wheelspeed sensors.
