Essentially, the NSX is a street legal race car with impeccable manners...not your average exotic . Nine years after its introduction, the NSX continues to draw raves. In 1999, Sports Car International said, "There isn't a sports car in the universe that can match the NSX for ethereal scintillation at full cry."

Like all great sports cars, the NSX is the product of a small team of dedicated, passionate car enthusiasts. Their approach to building it is take-no-prisoners. Their ambitions for it are way beyond any parameters ever established for an exotic car.

What drives them is passion. And what transforms that passion into aluminum, steel and titanium is technology. Most of it brand new technology, created to make the impossible possible. The R&D Center is Honda's Skunk Works. The engineers are expected and encouraged to be way out there at the leading edge of technology. And when they set about to create the mid-engined NSX, they used every technology they had been busily developing.

But in addition to that performance, the NSX is also a sports car that makes few demands on its driver. It's comfortable and tractable enough to slog its way through traffic.
