BMW's Thesis: Mobility in the future needs new ways of thinking

BMW's C1

Mobility is the major topic of our age. Physical mobility forms the basis of our lifestyle and our prosperity. It represents one of society's basic needs.

Tomorrows traffic scenario presents new challenges. Future mobility needs a new concept, one which successfully combines the advantages of a passenger car with that of a motorcycle.

C1: Future Vehicle

The C1 is BMW's proposed answer to the question of future mobility. The C1 has advanced to become part of a passionated discussion: a discussion which affects all of us.

Traffic planners engineers, designers, politicians, and, of course, consumers – the subject of mobility affects all of them. On the expert panel, representatives from these areas enter the stage and put forward their views on the C1 and mobility.

The C1 is almost as safe as a passenger car. It is maneuverable and space saving as a motorcycle. Intelligent and sprightly – this advanced synthesis between a passenger car and a motorcycle represents a new alternative in terms of individual mobility in the city – exclusive from BMW.

80% of all our journeys today are the ones we make on our own. One thing is certain. The C1 is coming – and it's coming in the year 2000.  BMW will accompany you along the path to the future by supplying exciting news concerning the C1 right up until the year 2000.
