Features of the 2000 Buick LeSabre

2000 LeSabre

1. Fast L.E.D. CHMSL- The high-mounted stop lamp on the 2000 LeSabre lights up very quickly, resulting in a very early signal to the car behind you.

2. Full-Across Lit Tail Lamps- Instead of only the outside portion of your tail lamp lighting up, the 2000 LeSabre lights up all the way across -- making you more visible.

3. Thin Tail Lamps- Thinner tail lamps mean more luggage space, because there is less tail lamp intrusion into the trunk area.

4-5. Larger Trunk Opening and Larger Trunk- The larger trunk and larger opening, along with a low liftover height, make loading and unloading easier.

6. Four-Wheel Disc Brakes- Disc brakes are inherently better than drum brakes because it is easier to stop a wheel by gripping it than by pushing out on its drum. The 2000 LeSabre has disc brakes on all four wheels.

7. Anti-Lock Braking System- Four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes help you maintain steering control and help prevent skidding on most slippery surfaces, especially during hard braking.

8. Diversity Antenna in Back Window- There are antennas in both the windshield and rear window. The antenna receiving the strongest audio signal is the one your LeSabre uses at any given time.

9. Automatic Electronic Rear Level Suspension-Automatic electronic rear level control suspension helps keep you on an even keel, whether your LeSabre is loaded or empty.

10. New Semi-Trailing-Arm Rear Suspension- The new suspension is made of aluminum for lighter weight. The new design has superior anti-dive characteristics during braking. Road impact harshness is also greatly reduced.

11. Water-Managing Roofline- The roofline is designed to help channel rainwater from the windshield up and over the roof of the car, to keep it off the side windows.

12. Increased Bending Stiffness- The 2000 LeSabre is stronger throughout, so it's less susceptible to bending and shaking -- resulting in fewer rattles.

13. Increased Torsional Stiffness-There is less likelihood of LeSabre twisting along its longitudinal axis -- which also results in fewer rattles.

14. Shorter Overall Length- Though slightly shorter overall, LeSabre's longer wheelbase and wider track permit more interior room -- including noticeably more hip room.

15. Water-Managing A-Pillars- The pillars on either side of the windshield channel water from the windshield, directing it toward the roof and keeping the side windows clear of rainwater.

16. Heated Outside Mirrors- Heated mirrors give you better visibility in snowy or icy conditions.

17. PASS-Key III- The PASS-Key III theft-deterrent system makes it virtually impossible to turn on the ignition without the proper key.

18. Folding Mirrors- The outside rearview mirrors fold inward in case they get bumped in a car wash or tight garage.

19. Flush-Mounted Door Handles- Flush-mounted door handles are more aerodynamic, better-looking and -- in most situations -- easier to grab and open.

20. Sunroof- The optional power sliding sunroof includes a tilt feature and a retractable sunshade.
