One of the students slain in the Columbine High School tragedy, John Tomlin, will have a Habitat for Humanity home constructed in Lakewood, Colo., in his memory. Construction will begin with an opening ceremony on June 19, 1999.

Tomlin's love for Chevy Trucks prompted Chevrolet to sponsor this construction, which could be completed by September. Each Thursday through August will be a student workday for Columbine High School students to construct the house. Five Saturdays are designated as community workdays.

Habitat for Humanity International will also construct homes in Mexico in memory of Tomlin. The Tomlin family built homes in Mexico for the less fortunate last summer.
