CHEVROLET CAVALIER SPONSORS LILITH FAIR TO REACH FEMALE BUYERS

DETROIT -- Chevrolet Cavalier will sponsor Lilith Fair, a multi-city concert tour featuring all-female performers this summer, in an effort to reach the high percentage of women who buy Cavaliers. Proceeds from Lilith Fair are used to support four elementary aspects -- shelter, learning, wellness and spirit -- of communities across the country.
Chevrolet Cavalier will support the wellness aspect by highlighting Concept:Cure, which unites General Motors and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) in a unique collaboration between automotive and fashion design to create exclusive versions of GM vehicles for a national sweepstakes to benefit breast cancer research.
Every woman is at risk for breast cancer, the most common form of cancer for women in the United States. At each of the more than 35 Lilith Fair tour stops, the Chevrolet Cavalier convertible will promote awareness of its fight against breast cancer with a unique display. A special edition 1999 Cavalier convertible designed by BCBG's Max Azria will be the primary feature, and concert attendees who donate $10 to Concept:Cure will participate in a drawing to win the car. This Cavalier convertible's unique makeover reflects the cool, retro style of its designer. The exterior of this sleek vehicle features contoured lines in brushed nickel tones. Interior highlights include white leather seats and a dashboard and carpet in graphite tones. The Azria-inspired Cavalier is one of five General Motors vehicles "recreated" by some of the world's top fashion designers.
To date, Concept:Cure has raised more than $2.6 million for the fight against breast cancer. For more information call 1-888- GM-CCURE or access the web at www.conceptcure.com.
