Get ready race fans, because the 1999 Team Monte Carlo Thunder Tour could soon be rolling into your town!

The Thunder Tour is an exciting and entertaining interactive collection of race-themed exhibits, show cars and attractions that will make its way across the U.S. to selected NASCAR races and Chevrolet dealerships. Visitors to the Thunder Tour pavilion, which debutted at the 1999 Daytona 500, will see a celebration of Chevrolet Monte Carlo’s NASCAR success and, at the same time, have a chance to get an inside look at their favorite Team Monte Carol drivers. Tour admission is free.

Two of the major draws for this year’s tour are bound to be Dale Earnhardt’s legendary #3 Goodwrench race-modified Monte Carlo and the official Chevrolet Monte Carlo Winston Cup pace car. Also featured is the Thunder Tour Mini-Theatre, an entertainment attraction hosted by NASCARS drivers including Darrell Waltrip. Chevrolet and Monte Carlo’s remarkable history as NASCAR’s winningest manufacturer and car is proudly celebrated here. A Chevy NASCAR Drivers Wall with bios, career information and stats and a Chevrolet engine display featuring the production 3800 V6 engine and a NASCAR Chevy SB2 race engine are also on display.

While at the exhibit, make sure to drop by the Thunder Tour Sweepstakes display. All licensed drivers 18 and older are invited to enter for a chance to win a one-year lease on an all-new 2000 Monte Carlo. See official rules for details.

Overseeing all the fun is Warner Brothers’ Tasmanian Devil. Everybody’s favorite "wild man" has his own Taz-themed Monte Carlo, and visitors are invited to climb behind the wheel for a souvenir photo. After that, maybe you’ll want to take a spin in a challenging interactive game that simulates a real NASCAR Winston Cup race.
