1999 CHRYSLER CIRRUS LXi BLENDS FORM AND FUNCTION IN A "ONE PRICE" PACKAGE

With a "one-price" package that includes all luxury car amenities and a powerful SOHC V-6 engine, the 1999 Chrysler Cirrus LXi is one of the most complete mid-size sedans in today's market. Its blend of elegant style, roominess, value and proven quality continues to attract discriminating consumers who traditionally consider major import brands.

Standard features on the one-price-class Cirrus LXi for 1999 include air conditioning, leather-trimmed interior with power driver's seat (a no-cost option), four-wheel disc anti-lock brakes, AM/FM stereo with cassette, tilt steering column, electronic speed control, and power windows, locks and mirrors. Power comes from a 2.5-liter V-6 engine that delivers 168 horsepower, mated to a fully adaptive electronic, four-speed automatic transmission. Standard safety features for 1999 include next-generation driver and front-passenger air bags* and speed-sensitive power door locks.

For 1999, the Chrysler Cirrus LXi adopts the new Chrysler winged badge on its front grille, giving it a stronger link to other offerings within the Chrysler brand. Other changes include new standard chrome 15-inch wheel covers and optional aluminum 15-inch wheels. Also new for 1999 is a revised instrument cluster with improved graphics, Chrysler Corporation's exclusive Sentry KeyTM vehicle immobilizer, and a revised suspension tuning to improve ride control while reducing harshness.

New exterior colors on the Chrysler Cirrus LXi for 1999 include Inferno Red and Light Cypress Green.

Winner of Car and Driver magazine's coveted "10Best" award for three consecutive years, Cirrus LXi features a standard full-folding rear seat with a lockable pass-through and remote deck lid release, and one of the largest trunks (15.7 cubic feet) in its class.

"Cirrus rounds out the Chrysler brand offerings for 1999 by offering consumers a very high level of standard equipment and great product value," said Martin R. Levine, General Manager - Chrysler/Plymouth/Jeep® Division. "Cirrus continues to play a key role in the evolution of the Chrysler brand. It is part of a complete sedan lineup that makes the brand well-positioned to compete in the hotly contested passenger car segment."
