Chrysler Introduces a New Dimension in Luxury Minivans

Town & Country Limited

Chrysler Corporation, the company that created and still dominates the minivan segment, is offering its customers a new dimension in luxury minivans, the Town & Country Limited.

"The Town & Country Limited is the perfect alternative for the luxury car buyer who wants luxury and more in a vehicle," says Ralph Sarotte, Chrysler Corporation's General Product Manager, Minivan Platform. "This new Town & Country Limited gives customers added luxury plus the roominess, comfort and versatility of a Chrysler Corporation minivan."

The 1999 Chrysler Town & Country Limited will appeal to buyers who want the best, the newest and the most distinctive vehicle in its class.

New interior features available only on the Town & Country Limited include upgraded leather seats with simulated suede trim in a Taupe color; a new rear bench seat design with a center arm rest, higher seat backs and integrated head restraints; steering wheel radio controls; dual zone temperature control; and 18-ounce carpeting and mats for a quieter, softer feel to the interior.

On the exterior, the Town & Country Limited will feature spoked chrome 16-inch wheels and chrome door handles; body color cladding and body color roof rack; and distinctive badging including the Chrysler wing badge on the lift gate.

The Limited will be available in four exterior colors: Taupe Frost, Golden White Pearl Tricoat, Deep Slate and Candy Apple Red Metallic Tint. The interior of the Limited will be offered only in Taupe, an interior color designed exclusively for the Limited.

The Limited will be powered by the high-output 3.8-liter V-6 engine, which generates 180 horsepower and 240-lb. ft. torque. This improved engine was introduced on the 1998 Town & Country LXi. Since being introduced in the 1990 model year, Chrysler has sold nearly 300,000 Town & Country luxury minivans, including 84,828 in the 1996 calendar year.
