1999 CHRYSLER SEBRING COUPE - ELEGANT DESIGN, AMPLE ROOM, AFFORDABLE LUXURY

While most specialty coupes aren't particularly noted for their practicality, the Chrysler Sebring Coupe blends elegant design and agile handling with a spacious interior to satisfy all occupants.

New for 1999, the Chrysler Sebring and LXi Coupe are offered with body-colored exterior mirrors and body color wheel package for Caffe Latte and White body colors. New exterior colors include Shark Blue and Plum.

"What's so unique about the Sebring Coupe is that it offers an image of luxury and performance that places it comfortably in the company of import coupes costing thousands more," said Joe Veltri, Sebring Planning Executive. "It's arguably one of the most beautiful coupes on the road, with generous interior room for all occupants. In fact, the Sebring offers more rear seat room than some larger sedans."

Sebring continues to offer coupe buyers features normally reserved for cars costing substantially more. An AM/FM eight-speaker Infinity® sound system that includes both a cassette player and compact disc player as optional equipment. In addition to a long list of standard power equipment is an optional power moonroof and a self-dimming day/night rearview mirror with compass (standard on the LXi).

Functionally, the Sebring LX Coupe has as standard a DOHC, 2.0-liter, 16-valve, 140 horsepower engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission. A fully electronic four-speed automatic is optional. The Sebring LXi Coupe comes with a 163 horsepower, 2.5-liter, 24-valve, SOHC V-6, coupled to a fully electronic four-speed automatic transmission. Sebring LXi has a handling suspension with a rear stabilizer bar and power four-wheel disc brakes, while Sebring LX has a power disc/drum combination with four-wheel independent double-wishbone suspension.

"Sebring has been extremely successful in the very fickle coupe market, while providing the Chrysler brand with a stylish, well-appointed two-door model that complements our entire portfolio of premium vehicles," said Martin R. Levine, General Manager - Chrysler/Plymouth/Jeep® Division
