The Musso and Korando Enter into Bulgaria

Musso

The Musso and Korando are making a difference in the Bulgarian automobile market. Ever since Daewoo acquired Ssangyong Motor, the company has been supplying Daewoo Bulgaria AD with these two popular models and has greatly expanded the four-wheel-drive market of Bulgaria.

Up till now, four-wheel-drives took up only 4% of the Bulgarian automobile market, and the moderate priced Lada occupied most of the market. But since the entrance of Daewoo's Musso and Korando, the size of the four-wheel-drive market has increased to 8~10%. Sales of the Musso and Korando started in May 1998, and as of end of February 1999, 212 Mussos and 52 Korandos had been sold.

Korando

Although the price of the Musso and Korando is high, the new design and quality is stimulating the Bulgarian customer's desire to purchase the four-wheel-drives.

Daewoo has set a goal to sell 310 Mussos, 90 Korandos this year.
