Dodge Dakota has been awarded Strategic Vision's 1999 Total Quality AwardTM for "Best Compact Pickup Ownership Experience," awarded on the basis of consumer surveys. That means Dodge Dakota scored highest among owners of compact pickups . . . higher than Ford Ranger, Chevrolet S-10, Nissan Frontier and Toyota Tacoma.

"Style, craftsmanship, roadability and power put Dakota ahead of the pack," says the Strategic Vision report.

Strategic Vision's 1999 Vehicle Experience StudyTM surveyed more than 33,000 new vehicle buyers of more than 200 models after the first 90 days of ownership. The award is based on an index that includes both tangible and emotional factors such as reliability, craftsmanship, ride, power, style, comfort, and dealership experience.

And the judges are real-world consumers, just like you!
