New block of 5000 tickets just released for Three Tenors concert
DEARBORN, There's little more than a month to go before Tibor Rudas presents The Three Tenors Detroit concert on July 17 at 7 p.m., and response to the landmark engagement has been overwhelming. To meet this strong demand, Tibor Rudas has made an additional 5,000 tickets in all price ranges available for immediate purchase.
"We've had a tremendous response to this concert with very brisk ticket sales since they were made available in April. As production requirements have been determined and stage requirements have been set, we've been able to accommodate 5,000 new seats in all price ranges which are now available for sale," said Dr. David DiChiera, Michigan Opera Theatre Founder and General Director.
Tickets for The Three Tenors concert, proudly sponsored by Ford Motor Company, are available for purchase through Ticketmaster (248-645-6666) and at all Ticketmaster locations including Hudson's, Harmony House and Repeat the Beat, or directly at the box offices at MOT and Joe Louis Arena. Ticket prices range from $50 to $350.
Limited edition Three Tenors-embroidered merchandise also is now available for sale at MOT. Baseball caps, shirts, lapel pins and a variety of other memorabilia is available for purchase at the MOT offices at the Detroit Opera House, 1526 Broadway in Detroit.
The Three Tenors concert serves to launch Michigan Opera Theatre's New Century Fund Campaign to complete the Detroit Opera House project which includes: developing a new Educational Resource Center; building an endowment fund which will give Michigan Opera Theatre future financial stability and artistic flexibility and retiring the debt from the previous construction costs.
The Saturday, July 17 Detroit Tiger Stadium concert currently is the only scheduled North American appearance for The Three Tenors in 1999.
