Melbourne, Australia: Until June 30, 1999, Ford Mondeo purchasers will be able to exchange the rigours of winter for the sunny days and warm nights of Europe, with Ford Motor Company and Singapore Airlines flying Mondeo buyers* to any one of four destinations in Europe.

"The exotic temptation of Athens, Paris, Rome, London and Mondeo will prove too difficult to pass by I suspect," said Jennifer St George, Imported Vehicle Brand Manager.

Mondeo LX's high level of standard features includes air-conditioning, central locking, power mirrors, power steering and a driver's side airbag. The GLX adds power height adjustment and manually adjustable lumbar support for the drivers seat, keyless entry and cruise control. Both GLX models also have power windows; height adjustable head restraints and leather wrapped steering wheel. Attention to detail sees all models fitted with a pollen filter for allergy suffers.

Designed for a discerning European, Mondeo's DOHC 2 litre, multi point fuel injected 16 valve Zetec engine delivers spirited performance as well as hushed refinement. Coupled to European tuned independent suspension it proves a willing performer with handling to match.

Recommended retail price starts at $26,300 for the LX, $28,000 for the GLX and $29,000 for the GLX hatch.
