How to see Ford Motor Company's Annual Meeting on the Internet

DEARBORN, Mich., – Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) will webcast its 1999 Annual Meeting of Shareholders "live" on the Internet for the benefit of shareholders and interested parties unable to travel to Michigan.

The live broadcast of the meeting will begin at 9:55 a.m. EDT. Live coverage of the annual meeting news conference will follow. The webcast will emanate from the Ford Motor Company Web site at http://www.ford.com and also through http://webevents.broadcast.com/ford/annualmeeting99. Complete instructions for accessing the webcast are below.

"As we prepare to enter the new millennium, we want to make sure our methods for communicating with shareholders and the investment community remain on the cutting edge," said William Clay Ford, Jr., who will preside over his first annual meeting as chairman of Ford Motor Company on May 13. "Using the Internet as a tool to reach a broader audience is part of this commitment, and with the way technology is moving, there may come a day when our annual meeting is conducted solely in cyberspace."

Ford Motor Company shareholders already can receive their annual reports and proxy statements and cast ballots for the election of directors and for shareholder proposals on the Internet today at www.shareholder.ford.com.

For those who prefer the in-person experience, this year's meeting will be held at the Detroit Opera House, 1526 Broadway, Detroit, MI. The meeting will start at 10 a.m. (US Eastern Daylight Time).
