Mustang enthusiasts celebrate 35 years of motoring magic

DEARBORN, Mich.,  – April 17 1999 marks the 35th anniversary of the introduction of the Ford Mustang, and thousands of Mustang enthusiasts will pay homage to the automotive icon at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina April 14-18.

Hosted by the 70,000 member Mustang Club of America, the key day in the event will be April 17 when Ford Division President Jim O'Connor unveils the special 35th edition Mustang and gives the public the first-ever look at the hottest of ponies, the 2000 SVT Mustang Cobra R.
