HONDA'S ENVIRONMENTAL CHALLENGE

Thanks to the smart thinking of our dedicated engineers and designers, Honda automobiles are some of the cleanest cars available. For the past decade, we've been manufacturing vehicles that achieve better gas mileage, reduce emissions and, ultimately, utilize less of the earth's natural resources. Without sacrificing performance or style, our environmentally advanced cars are designed to be just as reliable and fun as any Honda.

Below is a brief look at some of our newest mass-produced clean cars:

Low-Emission Vehicle—Honda's LEV Accord and Civic were the first cars available nationwide to meet California's strict Low-Emission Vehicle standard. Both vehicles produce 70 percent lower emissions of smog-contributing non-methane organic gases than the federal law requires.

Ultra-Low Emission Vehicle—The ULEV Accord is the cleanest gasoline-powered production vehicle in the world. Available in California (two years before required), Washington D.C., and 13 states nationwide, the ultra-clean Accord is the first ULEV auto to be certified by the strict California Air Resources Board.
