TORRANCE, Calif., - Honda's innovative gasoline-electric hybrid vehicle, with fuel economy in excess of 70 miles per gallon and ultra-low emissions, now has its own Web site at www.hondahybrid.com. The Honda hybrid vehicle goes on sale in the U.S. later this year.

Features of the Web site include preliminary technical information, product features and specifications, photography and information on other Honda clean air vehicles. Visitors to the site have the option of filling out a consumer survey that will put them on a list to receive additional product information as it becomes available.

"This sight will allow consumers to track developments in the launch of this unique new vehicle" said Tom Elliott, executive vice president of American Honda Motor Co., Inc. "The buyer for this vehicle is very Web savvy. We've already received several hundred surveys from people who visited a beta version of the site." Honda's hybrid vehicle - dubbed the Honda V V in its concept stage - combines an aerodynamic and lightweight aluminum body with Honda's innovative IMA (Integrated Motor Assist) gasoline-electric hybrid power system to achieve a new level of fuel efficiency and low emissions in a gasoline-powered vehicle.

With the ability to travel more than 700 miles on a single tank of gasoline, the Honda hybrid will come fully equipped for less than $20,000 with such standard features as air conditioning, dual air bags, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes, power windows, power locks, AM/FM cassette and immobilizer anti-theft system.
