PASSENGER COMFORT AND FUEL ECONOMY
ARE TRADEMARKS OF THE 19" OASIS

WIHTTIER, CA.---The 1999 Isuzu Oasis is equipped with a 2.3-liter, fourcylinder, 16-valve, in-line engine that features variable valve timing and valve-lift. Rated at 150 hp @ 5600 rpm and 152 ft. lb. torque @ 4700 rpm, the Oasis is a nimble performer. An anti-knock control system enables a 9.3:1 compression ratio and optimized ignition timing. Greater engine block rigidity and reduced connecting rod mass restricts noise, vibration and harshness. Fuel consumption is rated at 22 mpg city and 29 mpg highway.

Mated to this high-tech engine is an electronically controlled, four-speed automatic transmission with a lockup torque converter and electronic grade-sensing system. The grade-sensing system utilizes grade logic to interpret inputs such as throttle position to decide the optimum shift point. Without this system, the transmission would tend to "hunt" when going uphill or downhill, searching unsuccessfiffly for the appropriate gear.

Four-wheel disc brakes with anti-lock, engine speed sensing, rack and pinion power steering and four-wheel, double-wishbone suspension are standard. Springs are located independently of the shock absorbers to increase cabin space without compromising load carrying.

For 1999, Oasis is available in one trim level. A 6-passenger option for '99 is offered as a package and comes with second-row captains chairs, special alloy wheels, and a roof rack. A seven-passenger layout is standard.

To enhance front-seat comfort, the Oasis has fiffl-flat reclining front bucket seats with armrests. With second-row seats removed and third-row seats folded down, the Oasis provides 93.5 cubic feet of cargo space, making it one of the most space-efficient minivans available.

Offered in an attractive choice of colors, new for '99 are Clover Green Pearl and Crystal Silver Metallic. Keyless entry is now standard for all '99 Oasis models, adding to its overall convenience and value package.

The Isuzu Oasis is covered at no additional cost, by a 36-month/50,000-mfle limited bumper-to-bumper, 60-month/60,000-mile limited power train and 72month/100,000-mile rust perforation warranty. The warranty also includes a 24-hour/365 days-a-year roadside assistance program.
