Camp Jeep
Moves to a New Summer Range
For
the first time since its inception five years ago, Camp Jeep will move from the Rockies to
the geographically diverse and historically rich Blue Ridge Mountains near
Charlottesville, Virginia, and the Wintergreen Resort. The host site will be the
spectacular 4,800-acre Oak Ridge Estate in Nelson County.
The longitude may change, but the attitude wont. Camp Jeep will still offer
something special for every kind of Jeep owner and every age group. For three exciting
days (August 6-8), you can enjoy four-wheeling, tubing down the James River, mountain
biking, fly fishing, and hiking. There are technical talks with Jeep engineers, cooking
demonstrations, archery, vehicle displays, a wide variety of kids activities, and
outdoor concerts.
If you like making discoveries in the area around Camp Jeep, Nelson County and
Charlottesville offer excellent shopping, dining, and cultural activities. In addition, in
Charlottesville youll find the stately homes of three famous presidents, including
Thomas Jeffersons Monticello. Plus, the 11,000-acre Wintergreen Resort offers its
own special brand of recreational and lodging facilities.
