What do you get when you cross a legendary go-anywhere, do-anything vehicle with the legendary eye-watering, tongue-tingling hot sauce? What else — Wrangler TABASCO.

It’s a new Jeep concept vehicle that’s currently adding a lot of heat to auto shows and special events around the country. The concept began when the Jeep Division was approached by McIhenny Company of Louisiana — the makers of Tabasco products — to jointly create a promotional Jeep vehicle that would feature their Tabasco logo. The Jeep team brought this vehicle to life and couldn’t resist adding a dash more spice. What evolved was a special edition Wrangler that’s literally built to blaze new trails. Among its major modifications are a 5.2-litre V8 engine, four-speed automatic transmission and Selec-Trac® full-time four-wheel drive transplanted from Jeep Grand Cherokee and Cherokee.

Also suggesting blistering hot performance are features like:

Wrangler TABASCO will be “on tour” all year at select auto shows, The Jeep Health and Fitness Tour, and upcoming Jeep vehicle owner events. And while you might not be able to take it on the trail anytime soon, it’s fun to imagine what a vehicle with red-hot power, capability and natural gusto could accomplish if it were ever set free.
