Introducing the
Kia Sportage 2-Door Convertible Experience more of the great outdoors

Sit yourself down in a new Sportage 2-Door Convertible and you'll have the power to
do things other convertibles only fantasize about. From creating your own little slice of
beachfront property to taking a mudbath with your closest friends.
The Sportage 2-Door Convertible gives you the freedom to go topless whenever the
mood strikes plus all of the rugged off-road capabilities of a 4X4 SUV. The Sportage
2-Door Convertible is the newest addition to the Kia family. And it's earned its name.
This vehicle lets you be as irreverent and individualistic as you want to be. (Sunscreen
not included.)
Kia has been building affordable, reliable vehicles for half a century. And that's not
going to change. Our Sportage 2-Door Convertible is every bit the SUV that the
four-door Sportage is. It boasts the same four-wheel coil spring suspension and powerful
engine you will find in the four-door Sportage - the SUV that won its class in the
1997 and 1998 Laughlin SCORE Desert Series and was chosen as one of Four Wheeler
magazine's Ten Best Buys in 4WD. With this heritage, you'll live it up in confidence. And
living it up is what the new Sportage 2-Door Convertible is all about.
Don't be fooled by its great looks. It has a double-wishbone front suspension. A 16-valve,
dual overhead cam engine with 130 horsepower. Available four-wheel antilock brakes. Three
airbags, including a driver-side knee airbag. And a sturdy ladder frame that can handle
more abuse than a substitute teacher.
Even though this beauty is designed for the great outdoors, we haven't overlooked the
great indoors. You'll get all the comforts of home including power widows, power mirrors
and power door locks. An AM/FM/CD stereo is available, too. It's got seating for five, and
plenty of room for heads, shoulders, legs and other stuff.
