LAND ROVER REPORTS APRIL 1999 SALES

LANHAM, Md. -- Land Rover North America, Inc., reported April 1999 sales of 2,182 units, which represents the best April results in company history. "The market is strong right now and Land Rover continues to enjoy the pace of a record-setting year," said Charlie Hughes, president, Land Rover North America. "Range Rover and the all-new Discovery Series II are selling very well. Our only concern at this point is meeting the needs of the market place with the correct mix of product.
