E Class Brings A New Feeling of Space

If you would rather have two automobiles - a comfortable saloon and a spacious estate car - then you should take a look at the new E-class estate.

Just as impressive as its sister - the E-class saloon - when it comes to comfort and design, it is an absolute genius when it comes to space. Whether you are on a business trip or vacation, or simply want to transport a few bulky objects, a flick of the wrist is all it takes to create exactly the space you need. Even a family of seven will find that the E-class estate offers plenty of space for everyone. And when it comes to performance, it has the feel of a saloon: Maneuverable, easy to handle and safe.

With over a million saloons and estate cars sold worldwide in just four years, the performance of the E-class has surpassed all expectations.

This Mercedes model series is the world number one in its segment, with a 23 per cent market share. In Western Europe the E-class has a market share of some 25 per cent, in Germany over 30 per cent.

Customer satisfaction is also high: around 80 per cent of all Mercedes-Benz E-class customers stick with the E-class when they come to replace their car.

The E-class also shows a high conquest rate. Around 19 per cent of its customers are conquests from competitor makes. The innovatively equipped Avantgarde line too is demonstrating strong pulling power. Instead of the approximate seven per cent share in Western Europe predicted at the time of the market launch, this line now accounts for more than 26 per cent of all E-class orders.

Besides Germany, the most important markets are the USA and Canada. Mercedes-Benz exports 13 per cent of the E-class estate cars built in Sindelfingen to North America. The strongest Asian market for the E-class is Japan, with a five per cent share of E-class estate cars.
