SmartTrak System
Most vehicles make you match wits with the road, and, unfortunately for you and your vehicle, the road usually wins. Bravada's SmartTrak system, however, reacts to the road, to help give you additional control, confidence, and helps keep the road from getting the best of you.

The SmartTrak road management system combines automatic all-wheel drive and anti-lock brakes. The system is always "on." And so quiet you never know it's there until you need it.

There are no switches to flip, knobs to turn or levers to pull-- and an unexpected slippery spot never catches a Bravada driver without four-wheel traction.  It's standard equipment, including a locking rear differential.

The Bravada is equipped with a new electronic active transfer case that operates in an "all-wheel drive standby" mode. Only the rear wheels are powered in normal conditions, with power applied to the front wheels whenever it's needed. The transfer is automatic and instantaneous when rear-wheel slippage is detected; front-wheel torque is achieved within a quarter of a second.

An upgraded electonically controlled four-speed automatic transmission significantly lowers the level of noise and vibration. The locking rear differential does the same for side-to-side slippage of the rear tires. When one tire begins to lose traction, the locking differential instantly transfers more power to the other wheel, stabilizing the rear end. This enables both rear wheels to work together to help get you down the road in control.

And unlike some vehicles that only offer their top-of-the-line all-wheel-drive system on their most expensive models, or as an extra-cost option, SmartTrak is standard in every Bravada.
