DETROIT -- The all-new 2000 Bonneville will be priced less than popularly-equipped 1999 models when the all-new full-size Pontiac rolls into dealer showrooms later this summer.

"We've aggressively priced all three Bonneville models -- SE, SLE, and the supercharged SSEi.-- and despite adding a tremendous amount of additional equipment, many popularly equipped models will cost less than 1999 models," said Mary Boland, Bonneville brand manager.
Bonneville SE
The 2000 Bonneville SE has a base MSRP (including destination charges) of $24,295 and will
be priced at $25,700 popularly equipped. With new standard equipment, a popularly-equipped
Bonneville SE is $40 less than a popularly-equipped 1999 model. New standard equipment on
the SE includes seat-mounted safety belts, front driver and passenger side impact airbags
and 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes. Optional equipment made standard on the 2000 Bonneville
SE includes a Remote Data System (RDS) AM/FM stereo cassette with programable equalizer,
16" wheels and tires, power mirrors, cloth bucket seats and illuminated entry.
Bonneville SLE
The 2000 Bonneville SLE has a base MSRP (including destination charges) of $27,995 and
will be priced at $30,300 popularly equipped. The new SLE is priced over $1,900 less than
a popularly equipped 1999 SSE model, bringing significant value to customers. Despite the
lower price, Bonneville has added an extensive array of exciting features to the SLE. New
equipment on the 2000 Bonneville SLE includes dual climate control, 17" performance
tires and aluminum wheels, driver information center with programmable functionality,
4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, seat-mounted safety belts and front driver and passenger
side impact airbags.
Bonneville SSEi
The 2000 Bonneville SSEi is the most powerful Bonneville in the lineup. It has a base MSRP
(including destination charges) of $32,250 and will be priced at $33,825 popularly
equipped. New standard equipment on the SSEi includes a supercharged 3800 V6 engine with
dual exhaust, the Stabilitrak suspension system, 17" performance aluminum wheels and
tires, programmable driver information center, Bose eight-speaker sound system, head up
display, memory driver's seat, seat-mounted belts, front driver and passenger side impact
airbags, 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, dual climate control, heated outside mirrors and
universal garage door opener. Even with all of this new, innovative standard equipment,
the 2000 Bonneville SSEi is priced $170 less than a popularly-equipped 1999 model.
Background
The all-new 2000 Bonneville, emphasizing "Luxury with Attitude," made its
exciting debut at the 1999 Chicago Auto Show in early February.
For the new millennium, Bonneville presents an advanced new architecture which offers outstanding ride quality, handling, sound isolation, and safety, as well as an impressive array of driver-orientated and performance-enhancing features.
The all-new Bonneville has the most adaptive, personalized interior in its competitive set. Over 80 programmable features include driver's seat position, dual climate control settings, radio and equalizer preferences, perimeter lighting, outside rearview mirrors, window lock out and remote keyless verification, just to name a few.
Beneath the hood, Pontiac made significant improvements to the 3800 Series II V6, and Bonneville continues to be one of the world's most powerful sport sedans.
The 2000 model features all-new proportions, including the widest overall track in its competitive set; a steeper hood and windshield rake, along with a more aggressive roof line for a wedge-like profile; and wheels pushed out to the corners.
Within this cutting-edge design, the car's distinctive Pontiac heritage shines through. The robust Coke-bottle shape, cat's-eye headlamps, integrated wide bodyside sculpting, wide dihedral V-shapes and muscular haunches are all signature Pontiac styling cues.
"The all new Bonneville is a feature-for-feature response to our customers' definition of a luxury sport sedan," said Boland. "It's got the most adaptive, personalized interior in its competitive set, it's one of the world's most powerful sport sedans, it offers equally athletic ride and handling, and it has a comprehensive list of safety features all packaged in a dynamic, aggressive exterior."
