Saturn's Sales Experience
As the Saturn vehicle lineup becomes more refined, so does the sales and service
experience. For four consecutive years, J. D. Power's annual Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI
& SSI2) has named Saturn the "Best Overall Nameplate in Sales Satisfaction."
According to this well-respected and independent market research firm, "the
consistent high achievement of Saturn in this study results from sales processes designed
to ensure consistent communication, one-price shopping and a low-pressure
environment."
Saturn is always working toward making the sales experience more timely and pleasant. In
addition to the Saturn - pioneered "no-hassle, no haggle" sales experience,
customers also desire flexibility and convenience in the transaction process. Over the
next two years, Saturn plans to open 100 new retail facilities. These stores will feature
an updated design layout, offering retail facility guests a variety of open, semi-private
and private consultation options during the sales process.
For the consumer who prefers to shop from the comfort of their own home, the Saturn
website at www.Satum.com features a unique electronic shopping assistance tool called the
Interactive Pricing Center. Saturn was the first vehicle manufacturer to link interactive
vehicle configuration, financing selection and credit pre-approval directly from the
internet to its entire retailer network. The Interactive Pricing Center brings most of the
elements of the unique Saturn consultative sales process to consumers through their
personal computers.
The Interactive Pricing Center enables on-line "guests " to review a complete
list of vehicle models, factory options, retailer installed accessories, interior and
exterior colors, extended service plans, manufacturer's suggested retail prices and
financing terms. For example, a Saturn guest can add or delete options or change financing
terms and see how these changes might affect payment terms instantly. The guest can then
choose to have this information "sent" to a local retailer.
