Where is it written that practical = boring?

From the beginning, Suzuki engineers refused to allow boredom to become a part of the Esteem Wagon's refined practicality. Under the hood, there's an invigorating 1.6 liter, 16-valve overhead-cam engine with multi-point electronic fuel injection. It gets more mileage from a gallon of lower octane gas, so you spend less money and less time at the gas pump. And thanks to power steering, power brakes and an advanced 4-wheel independent suspension, this is definitely one car that feels as smooth as it looks. Cool standard features include tinted windows and air conditioning, plus power windows and door locks (GLX, GLX+). Adding to this affordably-priced package are roof rails, up to 60.2 cubic feet of interior cargo space and a neat, below-floor storage compartment. Smart, stylish and far from bland, the Esteem is a reliable, fun--to drive wagon that looks right parked in front of a 5-star restaurant or taking the kids to soccer practice.
A new 'face' for Esteem adds multi-reflector headlights for more defined and controlled lighting of the road ahead, on low or high beam.
The Esteem's neatly-designed dash is ergonomically laid out for easy operation and instant monitoring of vehicle performance.
Split-folding rear seatbacks make the expandable main cargo area even more versatile, while a hidden, compartment comes in handy for all the little things.
A power sliding sunroof with tilt feature for added ventilation adds a sporty, outdoor feeling to the Esteem Wagon GLX+.
Esteem Wagon Standard Features:

It's all standard, even on the base GL model. The GLX wagon adds power windows, door locks, mirrors and an aerodynamic rear spoiler--plus larger 14-inch wheels with wider radials. The GLX+ adds all that plus a power sunroof, cruise control, and a four-wheel anti-lock braking system. All for hundreds--or thousands--less than comparable wagons. Now you can see what we mean by value. Suzuki has long been famous among Japanese auto experts for putting the most convenience and performance into compact packages. This expertise is the main reason that Suzuki sells 1.8 million cars a year worldwide.
Still, the best part is not all this state-of-the-art engineering. The best part is the incredible way it drives. The luxury-filled interior rides on four independent MacPherson struts, and there are scores of vibration and sound-absorption features throughout the chassis--so you get the kind of smooth, agile ride that people usually pay extra for. And that sound you hear as you glide down the road is your favorite song on the stereo.
