The Toyota Camry is once again the best-selling car in America (based on manufacturers' sales data for calendar years 1997, 1998). This marks the second year the Camry has outsold both the Honda Accord and the Ford Taurus. Want to know what's behind its incredible popularity?

There are already plenty of surprises in life — your car doesn't need to be one of them. Proven value is what you're looking for, and it's exactly what the Camry has demonstrated over the past 16 years. The reliability and ride quality that have automotive journalists spouting superlatives...the innovative safety features  like side air bags, daytime running lights, and seatbelt pretensioners...All of it comes as no surprise — in a Toyota.
