Toyota Reports All-time Best-ever Certified Used Vehicle Sales for Third Consecutive Month

Torrance, CA - Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc., reported the best-ever month in Toyota Certified Used Vehicle sales history for the third-consecutive month. It also is the second month-in-a-row that it has sold more than 10,000 units in one month.

April sales of Toyota Certified Used Vehicles totaled 10,414, an increase of 30.5 percent compared to April 1998. Calendar-year-to-date sales total 35,637, up 26.3 percent compared to the same period last year.

The Toyota Used Vehicle program, established in 1996, provides the best pre-owned warranty in the industry. The warranty, from date of first use, includes six-year, 100,000-mile powertrain coverage, as well as an optional comprehensive 100,000-mile vehicle service agreement. And, 24-hour roadside assistance also is provided free of charge for one year.
