Toyota And The Women.Com Networks Unite To Support Breast Cancer Awareness

Toyota Women

San Mateo and Torrance, Calif., -- The Women.com Networks (www.women.com) and Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. announced an extensive partnership naming the automaker the premier automotive sponsor of the number one site for women on the Web (Media Metrix, Feb. 1999 issue). Under the terms of the partnership, Toyota will sponsor a wide range of content on the Women.com Networks site (www.women.com), will assist the company in its effort to support the National Alliance of Breast Cancer Organizations (NABCO) and will add a comprehensive automotive microsite to the Women.com Networks site.

As part of an ongoing commitment to women's health issues, Toyota will be sponsoring "In the Pink," the Women.com Networks' comprehensive breast health and breast cancer awareness center established with assistance from NABCO. Located inside the Networks' HomeArts.com sub-site, the "In the Pink" area provides visitors with valuable information on breast cancer risk, early detection and treatment. Visitors can also register for NABCO's E-Mail Reminder service to receive an e-mail when it's time to schedule their mammogram or breast exam and to receive a customized breast health guide.

In an effort to increase awareness of NABCO's important work, all site visitors can enter a sweepstakes drawing for a new Toyota. The car will be given away to commemorate Toyota's partnership with the Women.com Networks. In addition to the sweepstakes, Toyota will be hosting three breast cancer chats with the Women.com Networks and sponsoring several local fundraising events to benefit NABCO.

Additionally, a new Toyota microsite at Women.com, 'Everyday Women' (www.women.com/toyota), launches as an information hub that provides visitors with a comprehensive guide to making the most out of the time they spend in their cars. The hub includes new car purchase and leasing calculators, features on how to eat healthy while commuting or traveling, music and audio book reviews, travel weather information and profiles of "everyday women."
