DriversFest '99 - a celebration for
Volkswagen enthusiasts past, present and future - will take place at Jones Beach State
Park, Long Island, N.Y., Saturday, August 28, 1999, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.
The music festival is just one aspect of DriversFest '99. Other featured activities
include a performance driving clinic with professional instructors and new car test
drives. In addition, DriversFest '99 will be home to the first-ever DriversFest classic
and custom car show with special sections dedicated to motorsports and a historical
display.
According to Bill Rodgers, Volkswagen of America's Chairperson for DriversFest '99, the
many events at DriversFest '99 provide something for everyone. "We can't think of a
better way to celebrate the passion for life and driving that is common among those who
love Volkswagen cars - whether they currently own a Volkswagen or not. This is about
the people who have made Volkswagen the powerful brand that it is today."
All Volkswagen devotees are invited to attend DriversFest '99. In addition to the Rock
Music Festival, the car show and drive events, DriversFest '99 will include lifestyle
events, sports and outdoor activities within the Jones Beach State Park grounds and a
complete lifestyle exposition.
