Sport Utilities

As the popularity of sport utility vehicles soars, Chevy Truck meets the need with a complete line of comfortable and powerful SUVs — from the compact Two-Door Tracker to the full-size Suburban.

Blazer

Blazer again offers a variety of attractive features and rugged performance that have made it so popular in the highly competitive sport utility market. With two- and four-wheel-drive models, Two- and Four-door body styles and a long list of available suspension packages, Blazer has a great deal to offer owners ranging from the family commuter to the serious off-road enthusiast.

This year, the Two-Door Blazer is equipped with LS trim, while Four-Door models come in LS and LT trim levels. The unique TrailBlazer is available as a Four-Door model only. The standard Vortec 4300 V6 engine features several enhancements that result in extended durability over last year. The 5-speed manual transmission on Two-Door models is improved for quieter performance and extended gear life.

Blazer LS now includes a dark argent grille with a chrome insert. Two new exterior colors, Space Blue Metallic and Majestic Red Metallic give Blazer buyers up to ten colors from which to choose. Blazer also receives a new single-piece exhaust system for greater durability over previous systems.

The standard antilock brake system (ABS) and the driver and right front-passenger air bags receive performance enhancements.

Tracker

For 2000, Tracker builds on the success of last year’s redesign. Available in Two-Door Convertible or Four-Door models, Tracker appeal continues to gain momentum with its sporty look, compact size and agile and durable characteristics.

Utility is demonstrated throughout the design of Chevy Tracker. The rear seat of Four-Door models has room for three adults. Storage areas abound — as do user-friendly amenities.

Underneath, Tracker uses a ladder-type frame construction, for tight, rugged performance. Combined with the hard-working suspension system, this construction gives Tracker a comfortable ride on all sorts of driving surfaces.

The exterior of Tracker is updated with several new available paint colors for 2000, including Dark Blue on Four-Door models, Bright Blue for Two-Door models and Copper Brown for both body styles.

Tahoe/Suburban

The 2000 model year brings about the launch of the new Tahoe and Suburban. Both vehicles are new from the ground up with more interior, better brakes, coil spring suspension, and a whole host of new features.

The 2000 Tahoe, a "real" sport utility for the rugged outdoors, debuts with available third row seating.

The 2000 Suburban is the product of an evolution that began when the first one was introduced back in 1935, pioneering what is today the full-size sport utility segment. The new Suburban is more comfortable, more capable, and offers more safety and security features. In sum, it’s the right fit for today’s world.

Vans

Chevy offers a complete line of comfortable, durable vans — from the popular minivan to mid- and full-size versions. Included in the lineup are regular and extended-wheelbase models, passenger and cargo vans, and a variety of trim levels and optional features.
