For hot rod aficionados who have been waiting for a
factory fuel-injected engine for their machine, General Motors Performance
Parts -- a section of GM Service Parts Operations (SPO) -- introduced the
Ram Jet 350 last friday. "The small-block Ram Jet 350 re-introduces a
brand familiar to those who grew up driving hot rods in the '50s" and
"60s" said Michael Fellberg, SPO General Product Manager.
"In essence, with the Ram Jet 350, we have taken the appearance
of engines from that era, and incorporated all of today's advanced
technology." The all-new 350-horsepower engine from GM Performance
Parts features an intake manifold styled like the Ram Jet of yesterday,
but incorporates today's high technology GM components, resulting in
optimal electronic engine management. The design features of the Ram Jet
350 makes it easy to have modern fuel-injection technology on any 1975 or
older vehicle that was originally equipped with a carburetor. The key is
the industry-leading MEFI 3 controller, which is small enough to fit in
the palm of your hand and was originally developed by GM Powertrain. The
MEFI 3 is ideally suited for street rods, street machines and sportsman
racers. Back to Today's News |
