1998 Suzuki Swift
The Suzuki Swift is the twin to the Chevrolet Metro hatchback, and has a more powerful 4 cylinder power plant that is only an option in its sibling. The current Swift was introduced in 1995, and is the second generation of the vehicle to be sold in the U.S. The Swift ranks near the top in the U.S. government's fuel economy tests, and is built both in Canada and Japan. Not strictly a young person's car, Suzuki says Swift buyers are mostly women with an average age of 42.
