1998 Suzuki X-90
The Suzuki X-90 is not an easy vehicle to categorize. On the one hand, the vehicle is mechanically identical to a 2-door Suzuki Sidekick. It offers optional 4-wheel drive with a 2-speed transfer case, and its diminutive size makes it very maneuverable off-road. Removable T-tops and a lockable trunk make it more secure and weather-resistant than similar vehicles with fabric tops. On the other hand, the X-90 looks like a sports car but is taller, heavier and has a less-powerful engine than any other sporty roadster. The X-90 debuted in the 1996 model year after much favorable response at auto shows where it was displayed as a concept car. Even its maker says "it's miles away from anything ordinary."
